Clogging is a percussive dance style that somewhat resembles tap dancing or Irish step dancing but
with its own unique style. A double tap is used on the toe and heel of the dancer's shoe and emphasis
is placed on the downbeat of the music. Originally accompanied by fiddle and bluegrass music,
modern precision clogging is done to a wide variety of music including country, pop, hip-hop, rock n'
roll, show tunes and the old standby, bluegrass!
Clogging has been featured on America's Best Dance Crew, America's Got Talent, So You Think You
Can Dance, 30 Seconds of Fame, Dance Machine, Showtime at the Apollo and Grand Ole Opry, just to
name a few.
The Calico Coyote Cloggers are a precision/exhibition/competition team based in Winter Haven,
Florida. This group of energetic and talented dancers perform regularly at local craft fairs,
bluegrass festivals, fund-raisers, nursing homes and private parties. They have performed at
Cypress Gardens, The Magic Kingdom, Disney Village and EPCOT. These dancers represent some of
the best cloggers in the state of Florida and have won numerous awards in both team and individual
categories.

| CLOGGING CLASSES Classes are instructed by a Florida Clogging Council certified instructor and are offered for beginner, intermediate and advanced dancers.
